Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yavuz Balcı is a highly experienced cardiovascular surgeon who successfully applies advanced surgical techniques and stands out internationally for his minimally invasive approaches. After completing his medical education at Atatürk University Faculty of Medicine, he received his specialization training in cardiovascular surgery at the same institution, building a strong academic foundation for his professional career. Throughout his specialization practice, he gained extensive experience in adult cardiac surgery and adopted the principle of applying modern surgical methods with a focus on patient safety and comfort.

During his professional career, Prof. Dr. Balcı served for many years at some of Turkey’s leading cardiac surgery centers. He began his clinical practice at Dr. Siyami Ersek Training and Research Hospital and continued at Medistate Kavacık Hospital, where he further deepened his advanced surgical expertise. In this period, he carried out pioneering work in the field of minimally invasive cardiac surgery and achieved remarkable success by performing Ozaki and Bentall procedures for the first time in Turkey and worldwide using the axillary minimally invasive approach.
