Prof. Dr. Güven Güvenç

After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. M. Güven Güvenç completed his specialization training in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine. In 2003, he undertook short-term clinical and academic training at the Institut Portmann in Bordeaux, France—one of Europe’s most renowned centers, particularly recognized for excellence in ear surgery. In 2004, Dr. Güvenç became a Specialist in Otorhinolaryngology and, in 2006, began working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of ENT at Istanbul Bilim University Faculty of Medicine. In 2010, at the age of 35, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor.

In the same year, he successfully passed both written and oral examinations held in Pamplona, Spain, and Vienna, Austria, becoming one of the first Turkish physicians to earn the European Board Certification in Otorhinolaryngology and the title of Fellow of the European Board in Otorhinolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (FEBORL-HNS). Also in 2010, through a scholarship, he continued his advanced training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, affiliated with Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA. Awarded the title of Professor in 2015, Prof. Dr. Güvenç worked at Acıbadem Maslak Hospital until September 2021 and has since been providing services at his private practice. His main areas of expertise include aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, ear surgery, salivary gland surgery, head and neck surgery, and the treatment of vertigo.
